This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is collected and used when you visit www.vevegas.com (the “Website”), read the Thoughts published here or get in touch with VE VEGAS. We keep it simple: we only collect what we need, we never sell it, and you stay in control of it.
1. Who is responsible for your data
VE VEGAS is operated by FRONTTIER AS, a Norwegian limited liability company (org. no. 928 302 105), Fornebuveien 1, 1366 Lysaker, Norway. FRONTTIER AS is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at any time at hello@vevegas.com.
2. What data we collect
- Contact form: when you use the form on “Collaborate with me”, we receive your name, email address, company name, your message and, if you choose to give it, your phone number.
- Emails: if you write to hello@vevegas.com, we receive your email address and anything you include in your message.
- Technical data: when you visit the Website, our hosting provider automatically processes your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request and the time of your visit. This is needed to deliver the Website securely.
- Search: the words you type in the site search are only used to show you results.
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, how the Website is used (for example, which pages are read and how visitors arrive). Analytics only runs with full cookies if you click Accept in the cookie notice; if you decline or do nothing, no analytics cookies are stored. Google processes this data on our behalf; IP addresses are not stored by Google Analytics 4. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser data for this site. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
3. Why we use your data and on what legal basis
- To reply to your message and discuss possible collaborations: our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, or steps taken at your request before entering into an agreement (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) and 6(1)(b)).
- To run, protect and improve the Website, including preventing spam and abuse: our legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
- To meet legal obligations, for example accounting rules if a collaboration leads to invoicing (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c)).
We never sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
4. Who we share it with
We only share personal data with trusted providers that help us run the Website and our communications, and only to the extent needed:
- Webflow, Inc. (website hosting and form handling, USA).
- Cloudflare, Inc. (Turnstile spam protection on the contact form, USA).
- Google (Google Workspace, used to receive and answer emails).
These providers process data on our behalf under data processing agreements. Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, the transfer is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. We may also disclose data if we are legally required to do so.
5. How long we keep it
- Messages sent through the contact form or by email: up to 24 months after our last exchange, unless we are working together, in which case we keep them for as long as the collaboration lasts.
- Accounting records: for the period required by the Norwegian Bookkeeping Act (currently five years).
- Technical logs: for the short period set by our hosting provider for security purposes.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. To use any of these rights, simply email hello@vevegas.com. We will answer within one month.
If you believe we have not handled your data correctly, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet, www.datatilsynet.no) or to the data protection authority in the country where you live.
7. Cookies
The Website uses cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary for it to work and stay secure, for example those set by our hosting and spam-protection providers. In addition, if you accept them in the cookie notice, Google Analytics sets analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_*) that last up to 2 years. Your choice is stored in your browser (local storage, key "vv_consent"). We do not use marketing cookies.
8. Links to other websites
The Website links to LinkedIn, Substack and X. When you visit those platforms, their own privacy policies apply.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page always shows the latest version.
