It is no exaggeration to say that today Rubio is the person with the greatest power on the planet reshaping the global order.

Here is how:

• Being hawkish. Rubio is the last of the Republican hawks, fueled by a blind faith in power as the only real way to solve conflicts. For him, US isn’t just a country, it is the world’s moral leader and it has a duty to stay that way. In a party now defined by MAGA isolationism, he has survived by updating the idea of Manifest Destiny. It is no longer about conquering land, but about conquering flows: the movement of money, data and influence. He believes the world is a wild place that only functions when Washington has a firm hand on the steering wheel

• Building the "Access Empire". While the Trump administration focuses on domestic issues, Rubio’s mission is to ensure the US remains the owner of the global board. He is moving away from traditional free trade toward the Access Empire, a subscription-based hegemony. Under this model, the US offers a "Premium Pack" including investment, military protection and critical tech like chips and AI. The fine print is brutal though: total alignment with US interests is required. If you step out of line, your subscription is canceled. You are disconnected from the system and blocked from it, effectively sent back to the Stone Age. It is a system of forced opt-in

• Enforcing the Rubio Doctrine. With Rubio, diplomacy based on mutual agreement is dead. His strategy seeks surrender through "Crisis by design." He intentionally escalates situations (using extreme sanctions, blocks & bombs or financial suffocation) until an opponent's position becomes unbearable. When a country is on the verge of collapse, he offers the only deal left on the table. It is peace driven by pure survival instinct. His greatest trick has been rebranding this interventionism as "self-defense" for the MAGA isolationists. He has sold them on the idea that toppling regimes isn't being the "world’s police," but simply "cleaning up the backyard" to truly Make America Great Again

• Acting like the new Kissinger. Rubio is often compared to Kissinger, but their visions are polar opposites. Kissinger sought a "balance of power" through a web of alliances where powers needed each other. Rubio wants an infrastructure monopoly. He envisions a world where everyone depends on the US for things like: Security, Energy, Technology. While Kissinger wove a net to hold the world together, Rubio is installing a new world’s iOS. He doesn’t want allies to share power with, he wants "users" who must accept his monopoly just to function

Don’t be fooled: Trump doesn't care about the world, he only cares about America winning. Rubio is simply using that focus to rebuild a new American empire that is compatible with the XXI century
