Leaders, your job isn't to give fancy speeches. Your job is to sit at the table with anyone it takes to bring stability back to this continent.

Not talking to Russia isn't noble. It is just cowardly
Everyone knows there has been a war between Russia and Ukraine since 2022. But we don’t talk enough about how Moscow is being intentionally isolated. All communication is cut, diplomats are kicked out, and any chance to talk is destroyed. Summits are canceled and Russia is banned from international meetings where problems used to be solved
Politicians and the media have decided that cutting all contact is "the right thing to do." If you suggest otherwise, you are immediately called a traitor or a "Putin bot"
Well, I don't care. This attitude is completely stupid. Blocking diplomacy is a huge mistake and here is why. Leaders:
1. Your job is not to be saints. The biggest mistake of European leaders is thinking that politics is about choosing between "good and evil." It doesn't work that way. In the real world, governing means choosing the lesser of two evils.
Ursula, Kallas: we know you want to do the right thing, but we did not elect you to be saints. If we want spiritual guidance, we have the Pope or the Dalai Lama. We voted for you to solve real problems. Staying proud and stubborn in your comfortable offices in Brussels is a luxury. Regular people pay for it with high prices, insecurity, and energy crises. Refusing to talk to the enemy doesn't make you heroes. It just makes you useless at fixing the problem
2. If you are afraid, step aside. Too many politicians care too much about social media likes, newspaper headlines, and losing votes. If you only care about tomorrow's headline every time you have to make a tough decision, you cannot lead.
True leaders must accept the pressure of power. Your job is to keep talking because you represent millions of people. Your duty is to try everything to bring stability back to Europe. If you are terrified of looking weak for picking up the phone, or if your pride stops you from talking to a rival, then step down. Let someone else do it. But if you take the job, you have to sit down and talk
3. You are not messianic saviours, you are just employees. Leaders in Brussels have a huge ego. They think the future of the world depends on them being stubborn. They think: "If I talk to the enemy, I am betraying Europe."
Forget your ego. The problems between Europe and Russia started long before you and will continue after you leave. History and geography don't care about your approval. You are not saviours, you are just temporary staff hired to handle the present. Your job is to try. If you try to talk and it fails, life goes on. But you cannot refuse to call just to protect your pride
4. Accept that the rules have changed. Europe refuses to negotiate because it misses the world before 2022. That world is gone and it is not coming back. They naively want everything to go back to normal before they even sit down to talk.
But things change. Alliances die, treaties end, and the world map moves. Holding onto the past is dangerous. Real power means accepting the world as it is today, looking at the cards we have right now, and playing from there
Governing means making uncomfortable decisions. Your job isn't to give fancy speeches.
